Anthem Prime Healthcare System Update

Good News! Anthem is pleased to announce they reached an agreement with Desert Valley Hospital, located in San Bernardino County. 

As you recall, Desert Valley Hospital terminated its commercial Contracting Hospital Agreement with Anthem Blue Cross effective July 23, 2021. With this new contract agreement, Desert Valley Hospital returned to Anthem’s Network effective March 1, 2023.

Aetna Small Group Prescription Drug Data Collection Requirement

Aetna Small Group prescription drug data reporting submission is due 4/1.

This is in response to requirements in the 2021 Consolidated Appropriations Act and implementing regulations. Aetna is committed to complying with all legal and regulatory requirements affecting business operations and customers’ health benefits. Plan administrators must click on the link emailed to provide the information required. Aetna will use the data collected to submit the report on behalf of the plan sponsor

For more information, have your Aetna Small Group Administrators complete the RxDC Plan Sponsor Data Collection Form by 4/1/2023.

  1. Care away from home – Kaiser Permanente members have access to Minute Clinics, Concentra Urgent Care Centers, The Little Clinics, and (NEW) CIGNA PPO network (for urgent care or emergency needs) for HMO members traveling
  2. Discount Programs – American Specialty Health Plans (chiro, acupuncture, massage therapy) and gym membership discounts
  3. Kaiser Permanente Health Education Classes
  4. Telehealth – $0 copay (unless the member is enrolled on HSA Plan)
  5. Mental Health Out-patient Visits – NOT all but several plans have a $0 copay
  6. Digital support for emotional wellness – Free to Kaiser members
