• LocalPlus Update: As of 1/1/23, LocalPlus became a PPO product with out-of-network benefits. All plans and networks within the C+O portfolio are now PPO products.
• Flexible Underwriting: Just one employee has to be in our CA service area. DE9C is not required for groups enrolling 3+. Easy slicing, only 3 eligible enrollees are needed. 60% overall participation is required between the carriers offered by the employer and a minimum of 3+ enrolled with Cigna + Oscar.
• Quick Approval Times: Most groups are approved within 24-48 hours. ID cards are available the same day of approval with members having access to their portal.

Biden Announces Anticipated End of COVID-19 National and Public Health Emergencies

President Biden announced his intent to extend the COVID-19 national and public health emergencies set to expire on March 1 and April 11, 2023. The COVID-19 emergency extension has not been official, but if they get extended, it will end on May 11, 2023.

Covered California Provides New Opportunities for People to Sign Up for Health Insurance

In response to the recent historic winter storms in California and the state of emergency declared, Covered California created a new qualifying life event for those who were affected. Californians have 60 days from when the emergency was declared to sign up for coverage. This special enrollment period for California’s winter storms goes now through March 5, 2023.
