Aetna Funding Advantage Updates
Aetna made some updates to their Aetna Funding Advantage underwriting guidelines.
- Individual Medical Questionnaires – Current level funded incumbent cases no longer need IMQs to get a quote for clients currently on a non-Aetna level-funded plan with 5 or more enrolled employees.
- Quoting Guidelines – Use the NEW consolidated quote cover sheet
- Participation Guidelines – Now only 30% enrollment required
- Producer Rewards! New business sold with effective dates of now through December 31, 2022, can qualify for Aetna’s producer reward program.

IRS releases HSA index figures for 2023
The IRS released the new HSA index figures for 2023 and guidance on tax treatment of dependent care benefits.

Health Reimbursement Arrangements (HRAs)
For plans beginning in 2023, the maximum amount made available for the plan year in an HRA is $1,950.
Plan sponsors should update payroll and plan administration systems for the 2023 cost-of-living adjustments in communications such as open enrollment, plan documents and summary plan descriptions.
