Operation Shout – H.R. 5218

H.R. 5318 is a bipartisan bill created to provide relief for employers seeking to comply with the reporting requirements for enforcement of the ACA’s individual and employer mandates. NAHU has long sought these reforms, and we look forward to advancing this as a bipartisan solution to address the challenges faced under the health-reform law.

NAHU has repeatedly stressed concerns with these requirements, particularly their confusing and complicated nature for businesses of all sizes, and has worked with legislators to develop a commonsense solution to ease what has become an enormously expensive compliance burden. H.R. 5318 will ease the compliance reporting requirements for employers offering health insurance coverage to their employees.

The people without health insurance and the providers that serve them will be left out. Click here to read the full story.

An MRNA Vaccine Boost May Help CAR T-Therapy Treat Solid Cancer

CAR T-therapy has cured some people with blood cancers, but a new early-phase clinical trial presented at the American Association of Cancer Research (AACR) conference suggests that CAR T-cells may be able to shrink some solid tumors — as long as it gets a boost from an mRNA vaccine from BioNTech.
