Anthem and Dignity Health

Anthem Blue Cross reached a new agreement with Dignity Health for all commercial products and networks, including HMO, PPO, and EPO. The agreement is retroactive to July 15, 2021. Any care provided to Anthem members over the last month will be considered in-network.

Members with questions can contact Anthem Blue Cross by using the toll-free number on the back of their current Anthem Blue Cross identification card.

CAA Pharmacy Reporting

The Consolidated Appropriations Act (CAA), was signed into law in December 2020. This stimulus relief bill provided relief for health FSAs and DCAPs. The CAA will have a reporting requirement that applies to group health plans of any size (except church plans). This includes fully insured, self-funded, sponsored by a government or grandfathered plans.

The first report is due on December 27th and will include information about the plans and prescription data. Employers should watch for more information on this reporting requirement and speak with their carriers to see what assistance they will be providing.
