Aetna continuing bonus program into 2021
Here’s how payouts will work:

Blue Shield’s new “welcome back” bonus
Just in time for Q4, Blue Shield introduced a new “welcome back” bonus when a group returns to Blue Shield coverage and the member enrolls in a Trio HMO or Tandem PPO plan with a December 2020 or January 2021 effective date. This is in addition to Blue Shields Medical Incentive Program, which already offers $100 per member enrolling in Trio or Tandem!
Here is how this program works:
- $25 per enrolled member when using the Blue Shield’s Employer Enrollment Tool
- $50 per enrolled member on all plans excluding Trio and Tandem plans
- $100 for each member who enrolls in a Trio HMO or Tandem PPO plan as part of the initial sale or during renewal
- NEW: Welcome back bonus! Earn $100 per member when a small business group returns to Blue Shield and members enroll in a Trio HMO or Tandem PPO plan with December 2020 or January 2021 effective dates

Health Net is also offering a broker bonus program through December 1, 2020. You can earn $50 per member for every new Small Group sale. There is no limit on the number of members.

Kaiser Permanente’s new December and January Small Group bonus program
Kaiser Permanente wants you to kickstart the season with a new bonus opportunity! For Small Groups with effective dates of December 1, 2020 through January 1, 2021, take home a $100 bonus per enrolled subscriber.
Business sold through a General Agency is eligible for this bonus!
This new bonus is on top of regular commission and standard broker reward programs, including the Total Replacement and Group Production rewards.

Molina’s bonus programs for new and renewing members
Molina is excited to share that they’ve introduced a new bonus program for new 2021 members!
Here is how payouts will work:
New 2021 Members Bonus

Bonus payment will pay out in June 2021 to your agency. Your agency is solely responsible for paying any bonus amounts to you. A one-time payment will be determined by the total amount of qualifying members and the dollar amount that corresponds.
This bonus is for new membership only. Members must effectuate 1/1/21 (1/1/21 or 2/1/21 in CA only). Members must remain enrolled with Molina through 3/31/21 (or 4/30/21 in CA only for 2/1/21 effective membership)
Renewing 2021 Members Bonus

Bonus payment will pay out in June 2021 to your agency. Your agency is solely responsible for paying any bonus amounts to you. You can expect a one-time payment, not Per Member Per Month. The bonus will be based on the book of business (BOB) through 3/31/21 (or 4/30/21 in CA only for 2/1/21 effective membership).
This bonus amount is for renewing membership only. Members must renew 1/1/21 (1/1/21 or 2/1/21 in CA only) and must remain enrolled with Molina through 3/31/21 (or 4/30/21 in CA only for 2/1/21 effective membership)

Bay Area hospital preps for a rise in heart attacks caused by election stress
Keeping up with the election cycle has been stressful for many people, which is why a San Jose hospital emergency room doctor is preparing for a spike in ER visits over “election stress disorder.” Dr. Paul Silka says that they might not see an influx of patients for a few days. Dr. Silka witnessed an uptick of patients with cardiovascular issues following the 2016 election.
