Doctors Lobbying Lawmakers in the Battle over Surprise Medical Bills

Health care is currently a major topic of conversation due to the 2020 election cycle, with surprise medical billing being one focal point of discussion. Surprise medical billing has become a hot-button issue for voters, doctors, hospitals, and insurers alike, with the major point of contention being: who should bear the burden for payouts so that patients aren’t stuck with exorbitant medical bills?
