Aflac Named One of World’s Most Ethical Companies for 13th Straight Year
The Ethisphere Institute announced that Aflac has been named one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies for a record-setting 13th consecutive year. Aflac is one of only eight businesses and the only insurance company to appear on the list every year since its inception in 2007.
According to Ethisphere, in 2019, 128 honorees were recognized, spanning 21 countries and 50 industries. The 13th class of honorees profoundly illustrates how companies continue to be the driving force for improving communities, building capable and empowered workforces and fostering corporate cultures focused on ethics and a strong sense of purpose. Answering Clients Questions About Medicare For All
We know that brokers are increasingly hearing questions from clients about Medicare for all. However, the healthcare and insurance industries have a simple message: The Affordable Care Act is working reasonably well and should be improved, not repealed by Republicans or replaced by Democrats with a big new public program. More than 155 million Americans have employer-sponsored health coverage. Three organizations, including The Federation of American Hospitals, America’s Health Insurance Plans and The Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America have created a coalition called Partnership for America’s Health Care Future. Click here to find out more about the coalition and their goals in educating the public about the current health care landscape. The National Association of Health Underwriters also created a helpful comparison chart comparing ongoing proposals to implement single-payer style healthcare programs- click here to view it.
